Chief Corporate Development Officer

Agustin joined 7IM in August 2023 as Managing Director of Corporate & Strategy Development and was appointed Chief Corporate Development Officer in 2026, reflecting his growing role in shaping the firm's corporate development strategy. He has 20 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, having spent the last 15 years doing investment banking for financial institutions, leading mergers & acquisitions (M&A), as well as corporate finance transactions globally at Credit Suisse and HSBC.

In his role as Chief Corporate Development Officer, Agustin is responsible for driving 7IM's long-term growth strategy, including corporate development initiatives and merger and acquisition (M&A) activity. Since joining 7IM, he has played a key role in sharpening and bringing to life the firm's corporate development strategy.

He began his career as a Technology, Management, and Strategy Consultant at IBM Business Consulting, formally known as PwC Consulting. In 2007, he completed his MBA from INSEAD. After completing the programme, Agustin joined Credit Suisse Investment Bank in 2008 and became the Vice President of their Merger & Acquisitions team, followed by the Financial Institutions Group.

He then went on to HSBC Investment Bank as a Director of their Financial Institutions team. He led the C-Suite strategic dialogue with clients in UK, Spain and Portugal, as well as selected clients in the US and Asia. From 2019, he headed investment banking for Wealth & Asset Managers and Wealth-Techs in EMEA, advising on strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions and corporate finance transactions across the sector.
